PLSA and ABI launch £1m pension awareness campaign

Designed to boost savers’ pension engagement

The Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association (PLSA) and the Association of British Insurers (ABI) have joined forces in a bid to raise pensions awareness through a £1m campaign.

A joint campaign, which will run in the autumn and winter of this year, intends to help people understand the fundamentals of pensions and to boost savers'. According to the PLSA's Retirement Living Standards, only around 20% of the population are confident that they are saving enough money for their retirement. Savers will be able to see the campaign in a plethora of different places, such as social media, as well as in a mixture of different digital and written communications that will come from their pension schemes.
