More women seek financial advice as post-lockdown divorces rise, advisers say

The pandemic and its restrictions have put relationships under pressure, according to advisers who specialise in divorce, with more women seeking input from financial planners as they navigate divorce proceedings.

Divorce applications and break-ups have jumped across the UK post-lockdown. British law firm Stewarts registered a 122% increase in enquiries between July and October 2020, compared with the same period the year before, and charity Citizen's Advice reported a spike in searches for online advice about ending a marriage.
