Four students from Reading School have won the London Institute of Banking & Finance (LIBF) investor challenge, beating more than 9,800 schools from across the UK with more than 33,000 pupils taking part. The competition, run by the financial body, aims to encourage students to learn about money and how the stock market works. To reach the final, QuantumFund, consisting of Anirudh George, Dev Goyal, Rahul Menon and Yashwanth Karupalli, had to invest two virtual portfolios of £100,000 over a four-month period in a trading game which replicated the real market.
