On this week’s episode of The Pro Adviser Podcast, in association with Architas, Hannah Godfrey talks to John Bellamy of discretionary fund manager (DFM) Waverton Investment Management about why now might be the time to reconsider client investment strategies.
Waverton is a DFM based predominantly in London and the South East. It currently works with between 70 and 90 financial advisers, but is hoping to further expand. In this week's podcast, Bellamy says though passive investments have performed well so far, he is sceptical they will "cope" going forwards, which might prompt advisers to consider a new best option for their clients. Additionally he talks about the recent HMRC case involving Tatton Asset Management, which saw HMRC rule Tatton's model portfolios are exempt from VAT.
