A pension scheme trustee has been sentenced to just over three years in prison after admitting to fraudulently transferring more than £290,000 of scheme funds to himself, his family and a client. On 29 March Roger Bessent was convicted of fraud, employer-related investments, and director disqualification offences after a joint prosecution by The Pensions Regulator (TPR) and the Insolvency Service.
