The pensioners stuck with annuities paying as little as £1.26 a week Millions of pensioners are "languishing" on annuities paying out insignificant amounts, says this Telegraph article, after the government initially promised annuity-holders would be able to sell their policies before U-turning, two years ago, for fear it would put consumers at risk.
