Advisers are struggling to get to grips with personal data requirements but need to make sure they can answer a number of simple data protection questions before the impending GDPR deadline, according to TISA's Peter Smith.

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) deadline is now just one month away - 25 May - and the association's group head of industry policy liaison argued that, while GDPR should not be looked at in isolation of MiFID II and the Data Protection Act, advisers are particularly struggling with the definition of personal data.
