Ex-AllianzGI UK retail distribution head Blain joins Zurich

Fraser Blain, former head of UK retail distribution at Allianz Global Investors, has joined Zurich UK in a newly-created role as national investment development director.

Blain left AllianzGI last September after 15 years at the firm, where he was responsible for UK retail distribution including advisory, discretionary, platform distribution and global banks. His role was taken over by Adam Gent, who joined from Legg Mason in 2017 as its Northern Europe sales head.  Blain joined Zurich as national investment development director in December, in a new role the firm has created in response to demand for its Horizon multi-asset fund range.
