GDPR only 'on the radar' for more than half of advisers - PA poll

One-third have plans in place for May deadline

The incoming General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which is just six months away, is only "on the radar" for more than half of advisers, according to a Professional Adviser live poll taken during Tuesday's GDPR webinar.

The Professional Adviser webinar, which was presented in association with IRESS, asked viewing advisers how prepared they were for the regulation that is set to come into effect on 25 May 2018, with more than 100 replying. While around one-third said they had plans in place, more than half said the data regulation was "on their radar" and, as webinar host Professional Adviser editor Julian Marr put it, a "thin red line - around 2% of those surveyed" said they had not even thought about GDPR yet.
