CPS proposals on state pension would cause 'riots in the streets'

Proposals to increase the state pension age to 80, included in a paper published today by the Centre for Policy Studies (CPS), would cause "riots in the streets", according to AJ Bell.

The state pension: No longer fit for purpose written by CPS fellow Michael Johnson (pictured), advocates putting the state pension into 'run-off' and the introduction of a ‘senior citizens' pension', payable from the age of 80.
