NEST launches retirement income strategy 'blueprint'

NEST, the auto-enrolment defined contribution (DC) pension scheme, has launched a retirement income strategy blueprint for its members.

Its income strategy comes after its Future of retirement consultation which investigated the needs of DC savers as a result of pensions freedom reforms. It looked at pension saving markets around the world. NEST said it 'guiding principles' for designing retirement pathways for the automatically enrolled generation are of particular importance given research showing that a "significant proportion of members may be unwilling or unable to pay for financial advice".
