Ex-journalist Jeff Randall to advise Prudential chief Thiam

Veteran business journalist Jeff Randall has been brought on board at Prudential as a senior adviser to chief executive Tidjane Thiam.

The Telegraph reports Randall, who stood down from Sky News last year, will take on the newly created position at the beginning of next month. It is understood he will provide business counsel and advice to the FTSE 100 chief executive. The Telegraph reports part of the role will be to ensure Thiam becomes “more ingrained in British business life”. The report added Randall will not become involved in communications or public relations strategy.
