Ex-Schroders trader charged with insider dealing

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has charged a former Schroders equities trader with nine counts of insider dealing.

The regulator said the charges against Damian Frank Clarke relate to trading in shares and spread bets between 30 October 2003 and 28 November 2012. Clarke, who no longer works for Schroders, has been bailed to attend City of Westminster Magistrates Court on 4 July. A Schroders equity trader, later named in the national press as Clarke, was arrested as part of an investigation into insider dealing in January 2013.
