Henderson chairman to join Royal London

Henderson non-executive chairman Rupert Pennant-Rea is to stand down in May 2013 to take a similar role at Royal London Group.

Pennant-Rea, a former deputy governor of the Bank of England, will take over from Royal London's current non-exec chairman, Tim Melville-Ross, who is to retire. Melville-Ross has been non-executive chairman of Royal London for the last six years, and has sat on the group's board for 13 years. Chairman designate Pennant-Rea will take over at Royal London's AGM in May next year.
