Ex Octopus CIO Mentel joins Paradigm

Lothar Mentel, former Octopus chief investment officer, has joined advisory group Paradigm as CIO of its new investment management venture, Tatton Investment Management.

Mentel, who left Octopus at the end of last year to pursue other opportunities, will lead the development and growth of Tatton, which will be launched later this year following FSA approval. He will also recruit a team of investment professionals to oversee external management arrangements. Tatton plans to provide investment management services and solutions at fund, model portfolio and discretionary portfolio management level for both whole of market and restricted advisers from 2013.
