Charles Schwab Investment Management has launched two ETFs with low expense ratios and commission-free online trading in Schwab accounts.
The Schwab US Large Cap Growth ETF and the US Large Cap Value ETF both have an expense ratio of 0.15%, which Schwab claims is among the lowest in the market. The funds join Schwab's inaugural range of four ETFs tracking US and international equity indices, unveiled in early November. The firm's first offering has accrued $209m in assets under management, while trading volume across the four funds has averaged 555,000 shares a day since inception.
