The FSA has banned a compliance director at award-winning packager Chase UK Corporation for exposing his firm to fraudulent activity.

It says the actions of Simon Robins led to the firm being used by third parties to obtain mortgage applications on a fraudulent basis. It says one adviser in particular, which it calls ‘Adviser A', was allowed to accept fact finds and mortgage applications completed by an introducer, without conducting any checks to establish the accuracy of the information provided. The same adviser, it says, permitted the introducer to certify documents and verify information on his behalf.
