Mott to retire by end of 2006

Bill Mott is delaying his plans to retire from Credit Suisse and will continue his oversight of the firm's investment strategy following Errol Francis's departure.

Francis, who has been managing CSAM’s income, monthly income and alpha income funds since January – when Leigh Harrison left to join Threadneedle – is now moving to Schroders. As a result, the interim day-to-day running of the funds will be managed by the UK equities team, says a spokesman for Credit Suisse, but the firm has been looking for some time for a high profile appointment. Credit Suisse is keen to stress Mott will not be running the three funds he previously managed but will extend the advisory role he has held for the past three years on strategic development of the investment ...
