Legg Mason retail sales head departs

Legg Mason head of retail sales Andy McNulty has been made redundant following a restructure of the team.

His duties will be taken on by Justin Eede, head of European sales and client service, who will now also be directly responsible for the UK. Legg Mason says the decision was taken to improve cost-efficiencies, with a minimal number of positions affected across the global group. A statement from the group adds: "As part of our review of all areas of the business to align our operating costs with the realities of the marketplace, we have made the decision to implement staff reductions within certain teams."
