IFAs' cards reveal marketing errors

Missing email addresses, faulty branding and even missing business names are some of the most common mistakes appearing on IFAs' business cards, according to research by Broker Exchange.

The business development services provider says a review of cards nationwide has found: 10% of IFAs do not show an email address on their business cards – this rises to 21% in the Southwest; Of those cards that do contain an email address, 31% overall do not reflect the branding or name of the IFA firm – rising to 45% in the Southwest and 48% in the Northeast; Approaching 50% of IFAs cards carry email addresses provided by potential competitors, using domains such as Waitrose, Virgin or Tesco, in addition to Freeserve or Hotmail.
