Pensions minister Steve Webb has been confirmed as keynote speaker for the Retirement Planner Forum.
The Forum, which is now being held on the new date of 11 June, aims to help advisers get to grips with the new retirement planning flexibilities announced in The Budget.
The half day event will comprise a series of presentations, Q&A sessions as well as case study work all aimed at highlighting retirement planning best practice.
Presentations will also be given by industry experts such as AnnuityLine head of business development Billy Burrows. Other presenters will be announced in due course.
The event will end with the inaugural Retirement Planner Awards which will recognise advisory firms offering top quality retirement advice.
"The changes announced in the Budget have far reaching consequences for the advisory market and there are real opportunities for those willing to rise to the challenge," said Retirement Planner editor Helen Morrissey. "I am very pleased that the pensions minister has agreed to be our keynote speaker for this event and share his thoughts on how the industry will develop."
The event is to be held at Le Meridien Piccadilly in central London.
