Q: I've worked as a financial adviser for more than 40 years, and have a number of clients I have supported through many of the major milestones of their lives. I have always encouraged clients to think about their financial planning as a lifelong process, and talked to them frankly about ensuring they protect their wealth after their death, or should they suffer mental deterioration.
