The Budget: Keep calm and carry on

I've been through A-Day, ASP, auto-enrolment and THAT last-minute decision that residential property should not be included in a SIPP. But never have I seen anything quite like the Budget.

The run-up was calm, with Danny Alexander quoted as saying the Budget would be mindful of the fact the industry has already dealt with much change. From this, I thought it would be a relatively quiet day for pensions.  How wrong I was! The immediate aftermath was unnerving, with insurer share prices taking a battering and concerns that retirees would trade in their pensions for Lamborghinis.
