The end of the year usually brings the obligatory look-backs and crystal ball gazing into the 12 months ahead.

There is often the temptation to try and put a line under what has happened in one year and make a fresh start for the year after. However, there are two major issues which are not going to be easily resolved with the New Year celebrations. The first is the ongoing debate about the implementation of the RDR proposals and whether recent campaigns by a number of advisers and their MPs to make key changes will be successful.
