A new chapter It is with great pleasure that I find myself writing the portfolio manager's report again, seven months after my wife and I returned to Hong Kong. Our arrival last March was just five weeks before the money from the launch of Fidelity China Special Situations PLC became available to invest. In that time I put together the initial portfolio; re-established a relationship with Fidelity's excellent team in Hong Kong; discussed with my brokers and other contacts the type of service I was looking for; bought an apartment; and, most importantly, started visiting companies. ...
