PFS expands pro bono financial education initiative

The Personal Finance Society (PFS) has expanded its pro bono initiative that delivers financial education and awareness workshops to schools across the UK.

In the past the education workshops - now known as 'My Personal Financial Skills' - centred around a board game called ‘Discover Fortunates' that uses ‘gamification' to better engage young people. Now, in addition to the original workshop, the PFS has created four more financial education workshops aimed at students aged 15 to 18-years-old. They will focus on: Moving on from school - student finance, earning, tax, National Insurance and pensions Future finances - enabling students to develop their understanding of the value of everyday expenditure Making decisions, understanding...
