Break-in costs Welsh adviser firm Niche IFA £7,000

Niche IFA has suffered an apparent break-in over the course of an office refurbishment, which the Newport-based adviser said would cost the firm more than £7,000.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday 28 July. The firm has reason to believe a middle-aged man broke into the office using a crowbar and took an £800 LG television that was intended to be used in the firm's boardroom. The intruder also allegedly stole an item from the firm's server cabinet, which Niche IFA director and Chartered financial planner Ray Adams described as essential to the running of the business.
