Permabear Albert Edwards has been encouraged to apply for the job of governor of the Bank of England, replacing Mark Carney who is expected to step down in January 2020.
In his weekly strategy note, Edwards, who is co-head of global strategy at Société Générale, said he would be "up for the job" if the UK Government were looking for a candidate outside of the establishment....
