Lawyers pursue Birmingham adviser over unregulated investment claims

Follows ombudsman store pods decision

Financial advice firm Anthony Feeney Financial Services has had a number of complaints made against it for advising clients to transfer their pension schemes, Professional Adviser understands.

The Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) recently found in favour of one of the firm's clients after they were advised by Anthony Feeney Financial Services (FS) to transfer their pension to a self-invested personal pension and make a "high risk" investment into store pods. It has since come to light there are multiple cases of a similar sort, with two Liverpool-based lawyers saying they are working with around 20 clients of Anthony Feeney FS.
