Regular reminders and updates on investments are a key reason why women are choosing to invest through an online website or app, often investing for the first time, according to Fidelity International.

Research published by the firm today (19 February) shows 27% of women using online or money apps to invest because they wanted to receive regular updates, while a further 19% said the ability to receive regular nudges was a key benefit of managing their investments online. Close to half (49%) of women surveyed by Fidelity said they would choose to invest online, while 39% of those who had downloaded a money app in the last 12 months were also purchasing an investment product for the first time during the period.
