The majority of UK adults are risking potential inheritance complications simply because they do not have a will in place, research by Drewberry has shown.
The 2018 Drewberry Protection Insurance Survey, which collected data from 3,000 workers aged 18 to 65, found that 66% said they did not have a will, while those with one were in the minority of all age groups except those aged 55-plus, where 55% said they had a will. It also found that one in four Brits were expecting their families to rely on inheritance to see them through the financial difficulty caused by them passing away.
