Wealth management group Tilney has appointed Andy Grant as head of financial planning, where he will be responsible for leading the firm's advice business and executing its growth strategy.
Grant (pictured) has replaced Andy Cowan, who has retired after 23 years at the company and 40 years in the industry.
Tilney's financial planning business comprises 208 client-facing financial planners who operate from 30 office locations across the UK.
Grant has joined Tilney from the British Business Bank where he served as chief operating officer (COO). Before that, he was COO of Royal London.
Grant also previously served as COO at insurance group Amlin where he led the integration of Fortis Corporate Insurance.
Tilney chief executive Chris Woodhouse said he was delighted to welcome Andy to the firm.
"He brings extensive experience in managing teams, business integrations, change management and driving growth, and joins at a really exciting time for the business as we embark on the next phase of growth and development," he said.
Earlier this month Andrew Baddeley joined the firm as chief financial officer.
