BlackRock launches 'quantitative active' fund range

BlackRock Investment Management has expanded its active equity offering in Europe with the launch of the Advantage Series, which it said "seeks to combine the best of human and machine to deliver consistent outperformance".

The new range is made up of six new funds, including one with a global remit and five with regional focuses covering the US, emerging markets, Pan-European, Europe ex-UK and Asia ex-Japan. It forms part of the four suites that comprise BlackRock's Active Equities platform: Systematic Alpha, High Conviction, Specialised Outcomes and Thematic. The Advantage Series of alpha products is aimed at investors seeking long-term capital growth and consistent outperformance of the benchmark.
