Ian Muirhead, the chair of SIFA which encourages cooperation between the legal profession and financial advisers, is to retire at the end of March.

SIFA, which is part of the SimplyBiz Group, was founded by Muirhead in 1992. It now provides marketing, training, compliance and business development services to nearly 200 firms.   Muirhead said SIFA had been his "consuming passion" for the past 26 years. He said: "It has been a real pleasure to share the journey with SIFA members, on whose support and friendship I have been privileged to count.  "I am leaving SIFA in very good hands, and I believe that prospects for the alignment of the legal and financial disciplines have never been more promising."
