People more likely to 'trust John Lewis than financial advisers'

People trust a charity they support, John Lewis and Marks & Spencer more than financial advisers, research by Just Group has suggested.

The research looked at trust in the long-term savings market. Just Group conducted qualitative research among 45 people aged between 50 and 60 during November last year. When asked to name one organisation they trusted, 25% (11) of the 43 participants that answered said they trusted a charity they support, meanwhile 20% of respondents said they trusted John Lewis. Both Marks & Spencer and the NHS were trusted by 7% of the sample. Meanwhile, just 1% of those sampled said they trusted their financial adviser.
