National IFA, pensions and employee benefits consultancy LEBC group has opted to become directly authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
Previously an appointed representative (AR) in the Tenet network, LEBC said it sought the status to enable it to provide a more bespoke internal compliance regime. Chief executive Jack McVitie said: "To have the compliance framework and processes in place, which are tailored to our business, were the key drivers for applying for direct authorisation. "Direct authorisation ensures we will be able to continue to put our clients at the heart of everything we do." McVitie added the firm would continue to work with Tenet.
