APFA members vote 'unanimously' for WMA merger at EGM

Members of the Association of Professional Financial Advisers' voted unanimously to merge with the Wealth Management Association (WMA) at an extraordinary general meeting held on Tuesday.

The two bodies are set to create the Investment Management & Financial Advice Association (IMFA) from 1 June, which would represent firms offering a range of financial solutions, including investment advice and portfolio management, as well as investment and execution services, financial planning and advice for private clients.
