Sanlam UK has made three senior appointments to its wealth division as part of its "mission" to deliver better client outcomes and drive growth within the UK group.
Charlie Parker will join the firm in November to work closely with head of wealth John White to "help grow the business and strategically position the division" in its bid "to maximise global connections", Sanlam said. It was announced this morning Parker had left Neptune following a restructure of his role as the firm's head of distribution.
Paula Eddery and Kartina Usher have also both joined Sanlam this month. Eddery will serve as portfolio manager in London and as the regional manager of the South Eastern offices, while Usher has joined the financial planning team as regional manager in the North of England
Eddery was previously head of investments at Thomas Miller and, before then, CIO of Broadstone. Usher joined from A J Gallgaher, and before that worked at Baker Tilly.
Sanlam UK group CEO Jonathan Polin said: "I am delighted we have been able to attract the highest quality individuals to assist John in delivering a full-service wealth division.
"These appointments come at an exciting time for the group as we have just completed our strongest quarter, with our financial planning business writing the highest-ever new business."
In recent years, Sanlam has been reorganised into a vertically integrated model with wealth planning at the forefront. It has closed down "non-core" business units and is now rolling out a new client investment proposition.
Sanlam Wealth CEO John White added: "The Sanlam UK Group has been through an extensive restructuring and repositioning since Jonathan Polin took over at the end of 2015.
"Charlie, Paula and Katrina are huge additions to my leadership team and I look forward to working with them to meet our ambitions."
