The Schroders UK Platform Awards will once again recognise advisers large and small, who have achieved excellence in running a technology-enabled business or practice - so don't miss your chance to enter.
Now in their 11th year, the awards - which are run in association with Professional Adviser and will be hosted by BBC journalist Kate Silverton - will be held at the London Hilton on Park Lane on 26 September.
The judges, chaired by Personal Finance Society CEO Keith Richards, will be focusing on how adviser firms employ technology to support an excellent customer proposition.
The awards' organiser Clive Waller said: "Today, it is all about how technology is joined up - minimising keying, duplication and, importantly, risk, while maximising efficiency, cost saving and the quality of the client outcomes.
"The judges will be looking at the choice of platform with suitability and due diligence in mind and also how it links with planning and risk tools as well as with support software."
He added: "A successful business is a profitable business. As such, the judges will also be looking for evidence of an appropriate return on capital or margin and for a business with good fundamentals, a broad range of expertise and succession planning."
The Leading Adviser Practice award will go to the best smaller firm with fewer than 10 advisers that may offer a proposition for a single client segment. The firm may use a single platform strategy while always being aware of suitability factors.
The Leading Adviser Business award is for the best larger business with 10 or more advisers. It is likely the business will deal with more than one client segment and, as such, may operate more than one platform strategy.
Waller said: "In either case, the winners may be independent or restricted. That said, the judges will be looking at the choice and range available and the overall strength and value of the customer proposition."
How will the winners be selected?
First, entrants will complete a submission form to the judges. The judges will select the three best entries in each category. The finalists will then be asked to attend interviews in the City of London on 5 July.
