Charles Stanley has hired Kamil Amin from BlackRock for its asset allocation team, while Investment Week can also reveal intermediary distribution head Mark Pittaccio has left the firm.
Amin worked for BlackRock as an associate since September 2014 and will join Charles Stanley as an investment strategy analyst.
Prior to this, he worked as an FX analyst at Caxton FX and a credit research analyst intern for Aberdeen Asset Management.
He will take over from Pierre Micallef who was promoted to multi-asset fund manager in November 2016.
Meanwhile, Pittaccio (pictured), who was head of intermediary distribution, has left the firm. He joined Charles Stanley from IN Partnership in October 2015.
The aim was he would be responsible for leading the firm's distribution strategy to the intermediary market by building on its national sales team.
However, he has since left the firm at the end of 2016 and is now working for a behavioural economics consultancy.
His role has been taken over by Steve Hill who was an internal promotion having worked in sales at Charles Stanley since 2012.
The firm saw several departures last year including co-head of collectives research Stephen Peters and co-head of open-ended fund research Shauna Bevan as the team restructured its investment division.
