Comparison tool's real-time data reveals advisers' preferred platforms

Aviva, FundsNetwork, Old Mutual Wealth, Standard Life Wrap and Transact have each won the highest 'platinum' status in the 2017 platform ratings announced by AdviserAsset, an independent advice tool for advisers.

According to AdviserAsset director Colin Turton (pictured), receiving the platinum rating meant the system ranked those platforms as "further ahead" than their competitors and so represented "a strong endorsement of their propositions". The tool provider has around 5,000 advisers using its service in real time to compare platform charges and to undertake platform due diligence. Within these tools there is also the ability for advisers to record their experiences of service quality with the platforms.
