IFA firm Cockburn Lucas is the most recent company to launch a female-led practice aimed at solely women. But are the needs of women really that different to men and how big is the demand for female-only advice?

Financial advice for women is an increasingly important issue since women are amassing more wealth. PIMCO head of equities Virginie Maisonneuve recently told the Financial Times: "The facts are amazing and people don't know them. "In the next five years, the global income of women will grow from $13trn to $18trn - more than the GDP growth of China and India combined during the same period. "By 2028, women will control 75% of discretionary spending around the world." And Cockburn Lucas for Woman (CL4W), a firm set up this week, has recognised that although women have more control...
