APFA members back EU membership

A quarter of advisers still undecided

Advisers are broadly in favour of Britain staying in the European Union (EU), according to a poll of Association of Professional Financial Advisers (APFA) members.

The organisation polled 264 advisers in April and found a slight majority of support for remain in the referendum, although about a quarter were still undecided on how they would vote. The survey found four in ten advisers would vote to remain in the EU, with 24% saying they would vote for Brexit and a further 26% saying they were undecided. The same survey also found just over a third of advisers (34%) had clients that reside outside the UK but within the EU, both permanent and split residencies.
