Investment Association unveils plan to boost UK long-term investment

The Investment Association (IA) has launched an industry-wide productivity plan to boost the UK economy through long-term investment.

The plan has been welcomed by the government and aims to catalyse the provision of long-term finance and enhance investor stewardship. It follws an industry-led steering committee made up of chief executives and senior fund managers. This considered how the industry can play a vital role in helping businesses to drive sustainable returns. The five points of the plan are: Enhance company reporting for efficient capital allocation.
