Aviva and L&G secure gold in new F&TRC protection ratings

Providers rated for income protection and family income benefit offerings

Protection providers Aviva, Bright Grey, Legal & General, and LV= are among those that have been awarded 'gold' in new ratings devised by research and consultancy firm F&TRC.

The company has rated providers for both their income protection and family income benefit offerings following consultation with advisers and protection industry stakeholders. The best providers were awarded either gold, silver, or bronze based on their overall proposition and how they fared in a number of other areas, including on claims statistics and process, premium options, deferred periods and exclusions. For income protection, gold ratings were awarded to The Exeter Income One, Legal & General, LV=, VitalityLife Primary, and VitalityLife Comprehensive. Silver went to Aviva, Fri...
