Brendan O'Ciobhain named PFS president

The Personal Finance Society (PFS) has named Chartered financial planner and managing director of Phoenix Wealth Management Brendan O'Ciobhain as president for 2015/16.

O'Ciobhain's appointment was announced at the society's annual general meeting on 15 September.  He succeeds retiring president, David Thomas, who has completed his 12 months in office. Thomas focused his presidency on the sharing of ‘good practice'. O'Ciobhain has more than 20 years' experience in financial services, including early advisory roles with MI Group (now City Financial Partners) and Inter-Alliance.
