A former appointed representative of Financial Ltd, the network banned this week from recruiting new advisers in a landmark ruling, has spoken exclusively to Professional Adviser about what he found during his time at the firm...

"My ten-month experience of Financial, was that, by the admission of the guy who recruited me, it was a ‘cheap, no-nonsense approach to compliance'," the IFA who has asked not to be named recalls. The model was certainly cost effective - £700 per month all in, according to the adviser, covering Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) levies, compliance fees and other services usually associated with working with a network.
