Panacea Adviser unveils independent trail commission guide

Online support service Panacea Adviser has launched a guide to help firms plan their strategies around the switch-off of trail commission.

The free-to-use guide provides a framework encompassing definitions, and legal and compliance considerations around the issue of trail commission to create clarity for advisers. It was designed with input from industry experts and has been reviewed by providers, advisers and support services to ensure its credibility, Panacea said. The regulator has banned trail commission on products sold after 31 December 2012 and on all products on platforms from April 2016.
