Gartmore fund manager Callaghan to step down

GARTMORE has confirmed that Tim Callaghan has stepped down as manager of its European Growth and Focus funds.

The funds will be managed for an interim period by Stephen Jones, current head of the European desk. Gartmore also confirmed that it is currently reviewing the three European funds, including the SICAV European Block, with a possible view to merging the three. However, Gartmore was keen to reassure investors and advisers that the review was in their best interests and will be resolved swiftly.
