THREADNEEDLE Investments has given an optimistic assessment on the UK equity market citing factors such as the strength of corporate balance sheets and ongoing M&A activity.
Outlining the firm’s investment strategy for November, the company’s chief investment officer Sarah Arkle said although Threadneedle believes bonds offer reasonable value, the outlook for equities is superior. Arkle said with the corporate reporting season in this year’s third quarter reasonably advanced, the global trend continues to be for the balance of companies to surprise on the upside.
